Winter Activities

The Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse is perfectly located for a variety of outdoor mountain activities. Winter activities include Snowmobiling, Sleigh Rides, Snow Cat Tours, and Ice Fishing. Courtesy transportation from Steamboat Springs is available for ALL Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse activity reservations with convenient pick-up and drop-off at the Gondola Transit Center. Have your own sled? Park and ride snowmobile access to Steamboat Lake and the Routt National Forrest is just outside our door!

 All Park & Ride snowmobilers must check in at the front desk–know before you go!

Snowmobile Rentals

Explore the boundless snowmobile trails and backcountry terrain on one of our Ski-Doo snowmobile 1/2 day or full day rentals. The Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse is proud to offer a fleet of 600cc liquid cooled and 550 (2-up) air cooled Ski-Doo sleds for exploring the trails and carving up the powder!

 Helmets provided. Renter responsible for filling sled with premium gas upon return

No discounts or credit is given for bringing a sled back early

Snowmobile Guided Tours

The Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse offers 2 hour scenic guided snowmobile tours. Three tours are offered daily at 9:00am, 11:30am, and 3:00pm.

 Helmets & gas provided

 Riders must be 16 years or older with valid driver’s license. Must be 18 to have passenger

 Free shuttle from Steamboat Springs is available. Pick-up time is 1-1.5 hours prior to tour time. Minimum 4 people for FREE shuttle pick-up. If less than 4 people, shuttle is $20 per person

 $25 up-charge for a 600 sled

 A $20.00 damage waiver is available that covers the first $500.00 worth of damage to snowmobiles

Snowmobile Guided Tour & Dinner Package

2-hour guided snowmobile tour starts at 3:00pm, followed by a 3-course dinner in our cozy lodge. Riders and drivers are the same price.

Snowmobile Guided Tour & Horse Package

Take a 1 hr guided horseback ride then hop on a sled and go for a 1hr snowmobile tour. Total time takes 2 ½ to 3 hrs. Two tours are offered daily at 11:30am and 3:00pm.

 Snowmobile riders must be 16 years or older with valid driver’s license. Must be 18 to have passenger

 Must be 12 yrs to ride a horse and be passenger on sled

 $25 up-charge for a 600 sled

Winter Horseback Ride

Take a 1 hr guided horseback ride through the snow. Two rides are offered daily at 11:30am and 3:00pm.

 Must be 12 years or older to ride during winter months

 Free shuttle from Steamboat Springs is available. Pick-up time is 1-1.5 hours prior to tour time. Minimum 4 people for FREE shuttle pick-up. If less than 4 people, shuttle is $20 per person

Sleigh Ride & Hot Cocoa

Snuggle up for an intimate sleigh ride, followed by hot cocoa or other non-alcoholic drink to experience a one-of-a-kind mountain tradition. Our steady team of Percheron draft horses will take you on a relaxing 45 minute sleigh ride through the snow. Three seatings daily at 12:00pm, 5:00pm and 7:00pm.

Soup & Sleigh Ride

Take a relaxing 45 minute sleigh ride through the scenic snowscape and then warm up with unlimited soup or chili, hot bread, and a non-alcoholic drink. One seating daily at 12:00pm.

Snow Cat Tours

It’s easy to lose yourself in the breathtaking scenery of Steamboat Lake, so why not take a sightseeing adventure on a 1-hour snow cat tour? Even better, finish your tour with a hearty dinner in our lodge. The snow cat seats one person in front and 3 to 4 people in back. Tour times are flexible.

Guided Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is a sport for the whole family to enjoy. Our guides will take you out for a 4 hour adventure equipped with all the necessary tackle, gear and supplies for a successful day on the ice. Two guided fishing trips are offered daily at 9:00am and 1:00pm.
